Can dog food improve your dogs behaviour?

We have researched if choosing the right dog food can improve your dogs behaviour, and what other positive effects there might be…

Why it’s worth spending more on Dog Food
Firstly, it’s important to note that every dog is different – from the size of the dog to the breed, but also the behaviour of the dog. Some dogs might be extroverts and outgoing, but others are introverts and shy. It’s proven that the right dog food can give a dog more confidence and interact better with other dogs, as they feel better about themselves.

I have experienced this myself when I got my working cocker spaniel (Dobby) – he was 4 months old and had real trust issues – he was very shy, cowardly and scared of everything (human’s, other animals, the hoover, pretty much anything that moved). He is still scared of the hoover but since using Hunt & Wilson dog food he has come out of his shell. He’s now extremely friendly and great at socialising with other dogs and humans – in fact, it’s hard to get him away from them.
As the saying goes “you are what you eat” and the same can be said about dogs. If they eat healthy & nutritious dog food they will be fitter and happier as a result.

If you and your 4 legged friend attend obedience classes, agility training, scent training or similar the right dog food can actually improve their performance. Not only will they be in better shape but they’ll also be more focussed. A premium dog food like Hunt & Wilson might just win you that extra medal!

I’m sure you’ll agree there’s nothing more important than your 4 legged friend and nutritious dog food can prolong the life of a dog. Our dog food is also hypoallergenic which means it’s relatively unlikely to cause an allergic reaction – this is important as some allergies can cause serious harm.
